A frame affects scale, shadow and the transition from artwork to wall. Lumière Print offers three frame types: painted oak, silver aluminium and 3D oak. We plan frame and print together so the result feels intentional in its display setting.

Painted oak
A defined wood frame with a composed, understated edge. Can add warmth or definition without overwhelming the image.
0.5 cm face · 2.5 cm depth
Silver aluminium
A narrow metallic line with a crisp contemporary feel; suits precise architectural or contemporary photography.
Lumière 3D profile · dimensions to confirm
3D oak
Greater visual depth and separation around the work; gives a large work more presence.

How the edges compare
Colour samples, glazing, backing, spacers and hanging hardware should be confirmed for the particular frame specification; they are not assumed from the profile name.
Choose by image, material and room
Starting points, not fixed matches
Consider wall colour, nearby furniture, viewing distance and whether the image needs a visible paper border. For a set of works, repeating one frame profile can help the group read coherently.
- Silver aluminium — precise architectural or contemporary photography.
- Painted oak — warmth or definition without overwhelming the image.
- 3D oak — more presence for a large work.
Confirm three different sizes
Image, sheet and outer frame
Image area: the printed artwork, excluding white paper. Paper or canvas size: the physical print, including any border. Outer frame size: the final object on the wall.
These are easy to confuse. State which measurement matters to your installation and ask for a final dimension before production.

Send the intended image size, material choice and a photograph or description of the room. For a valuable or long-term display, ask which glazing, backing and materials touching the print are available.
