About Lumière Print

About Lumière Print, a Fine Art Printing Studio

Lumière Print is a specialist fine art printing studio for photography and visual art. We treat the print as a physical version of the work, where colour, surface, dimensions and finishing are decisions worth making deliberately.

Studio

How we work

Accuracy, material and consistency

These are working principles, not a claim that a print can look exactly like a luminous screen or remain unchanged forever.

01

Accuracy

A controlled attempt to retain the image’s colour relationships, tonal range and detail.

02

Material

Recognising that paper white and texture influence the result.

03

Consistency

Recording and managing the production conditions when a series or edition needs to hold together across prints.

The tools behind the work

Tools that inform output decisions

Our main printer is the 44-inch Epson SureColor SC-P9530 with UltraChrome PRO12 pigment inks and a PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead. X-Rite i1Publish Pro 3 supports measurement and ICC profiling for the printer, ink and material combination. For print review, Lumière uses the Apple Studio Display XDR 27-inch (2026).

The tools matter because every paper and canvas has a different white point, surface and tonal behaviour. They help us make informed output decisions rather than applying a single setting to every image.

Who you will work with

The people

We do not ask the print to speak with a single style: the first question is what the artist or photographer wants the physical work to do.

Bring the decisions in early

We work on photographic portfolios, individual artworks, exhibition groups, limited editions and framed works for collection or display. If you are choosing between papers, planning a large size or trying to keep a series consistent, bring those decisions to the conversation early.

  • Pigment inks and selected Hahnemühle media are chosen for long-term presentation; how a print ages still depends on light, humidity, handling and framing. See caring for prints.
