What we make
Three ways to carry an image into a finished work, each with a distinct material and presentation decision.
Paper
Pigment prints on matt cotton, natural-fibre or textured fine art papers, chosen for the image rather than a default finish.
Canvas
Two Hahnemühle canvas characters: a fine, bright photographic weave and a coarser natural-white artist surface.
Framing
Painted oak, silver aluminium and 3D oak options for a finished work ready for presentation.
The material
A smooth matt cotton paper may preserve an understated photographic character. A heavily textured cotton paper becomes visible in the work itself. Bamboo introduces a warmer white; bright-white Photo Rag can make a different impression of highlights and contrast. Canvas changes the object and its distance from the wall.
The print process
Giclée describes high-quality inkjet reproduction for fine art and photography; it is not a certificate or a promise of identical results on every material. At Lumière Print, the practical foundation is an Epson SureColor SC-P9530, UltraChrome PRO12 pigment inks, selected inkjet-coated media and colour measurement for printer, ink and material combinations.
We consider source resolution, crop, paper white, surface texture and display light alongside colour. The aim is a considered translation from digital image to physical print.
